The Ukrainian selection has now kicked off, with the first 8 participants taking to the stage. This year’s competition will see two semi-finals, concluding with the final on the 22nd of February. Three acts will qualify from each semi-final.
Here is the line-up from the first semi-final:

The voting consisted of 50% jury and 50% televoting. In the case of a tie, the participant with the highest televote would be chosen. The jury consisted of Andrii Danylko (Verka Serduchka), Tina Karol and Vitalii Drozdov.
The public gave their top points to KRUTЬ, with Go-A in second and Jerry Heil in third. The jury favourite the same three acts, with KRUTЬ again in first, but with Jerry Heil in second and Go-A in third.
With the points combined, it was clear that these three acts would be continuing to the final. Watch the qualifying performances below:
